… apply for at least two real jobs a week! That is wad I was told by both union and job centre this week. (A real job is defined as a job which is advertised, in case you wondered). Tuesday I attended a so-called kick start meeting with the union. Blah, blah, blah and and we also sell an extra unemployment insurance (you just have to have a job to get it) and we also have these lovely summer houses which you can rent ast a very low price… But information on what to do now to get a job… none!
Wednesday, another meeting at the job centre. One hour of useless information of trainings, rights and how to apply for a job. But I cannot apply for training, since I’m too well educated. The rights are for people with less or no education – good for them – but again these rights don’t apply for me.
I went home, very disappointed and now I need to write two applications to meet the weekly demand. However, there are not many jobs to apply for right now. Vacation time for the next six weeks means that not many companies are looking for employees at the moment. I must apply for jobs with up to three hours of public transportation. Where I live public transportation is more or less non-existing…
I could be fuming right now, but the weather is too good and I have plenty of wonderful organic rosé. So, who cares? I don’t!
