I´m Almost Going Nuts
All day I have been reworking and updating my LinkedIn profile. New profile photo, new cover photo. My profiles has now been added a Danish section too, since I have been asked several time why I have a profile in English when being in Denmark. But, it´s quite natural I think. Having been in international business for many years and in a global environment, it seems a bit strange for me to have a profile only 6 million people can see. And not all Danes are on LinkedIn, so the correct number might be less than 2.5 million… Also recruiters, HR people and managers are often non-Danish, even in Danish companies. Let´s face we live in a globalised world.
But reworking the whole thing for the fourth time almost drives me nuts!
I´ve downloaded the Affinity Publisher program – it´s a beta version. However, being used to the crazy expensive Adobe programs, I think that Affinity´s range of products are a very fine and much cheaper alternative. I can only recommend them!
I learned on YouTube today, that you have six (!) seconds to catch the attention of the recruiter, HR person or managers. That is under normal conditions not much time. In a situation where you compete with 300 others, its even worse…
Temperatures are dropping
The temperatures are just above 0°C, but real feel is more like -3°C, the wind is icy today. the birds are eating the remianing apples in the garden and all day the swans have been migrating, you can hear their hoarse calls even inside.
It´s time for hygge. You know, where we Scandinavians light candles, put on a blanket and eat stuff. So now where I have been able to get just a tiny space on the bookshelves, of course I must place some candles there. As real candles are a no-go among the books, I bought some electrical with an 8-hour timer and of course two new candle holders. Neat! And later tonight we´ll eat waffles and all curl up on the sofa together under each our blanket.
Wish you all a nice evening!
