Early mornings are the best
Venus, the morning star is visble these mornings, promising a day full of sun.
This morning I heard the blackbirds singing, a sure sign that spring will come eventually. Day time temperatures will rise to above 10°C this week, but the night are still covered in a slight frosty veil.
Getting up early has become a way of life now. I´ve always been an Owl, staying up until late and getting up late. Somehow – even before I had children – I missed something; having a whole long day. When the children were born, naturally we got up early. When giving birth to my secong son, I slipped two discs in my lower back and my right hip was damaged. The severe pain kept me from lying in bed until late. My back ached terribly after 5 hours of sleep and the hip also made it difficult for me to find a nice
sleeping position in bed.
I got used to going to bed late and getting up early. Now I also go to bed early and get up early, leaving me with 7-8 hours of sleep.
The jackdaws have gathered in one of my neighbours´ gardens this morning. They are terribly noisy, but after 10 mins. they usually leave again.
The boys are all still sleeping. In a few minutes the youngest has to get up for outdoor football training from 9-12, as every day this week. At 8.30 I´m going to a meeting at the hostel. The day will quickly pass with lots of things to do. That´s why I´m enjoying the early mornings where everone else is still asleep.
