January is almost gone. We’ve had a month with -10°C, heavy snow, lots and lots of rain and now the scale is heading for +. The birds have begun to sing and building nests.
Last year, I dug up all crocus and snowdrop bulbs in the garden. They hadn’t been blooming for years, bulbs tend to grow downwards. Also they were placed farthest away in the garden. My kids were forced to spend an afternoon replanting them all two-by-two in the lawn close to the house.
And success (!), they have survived! Now the first signs of spring are finally here, and I look forward to enjoy a blooming lawn in lilac, yellow and white colours.

Thank you very much calmkate. You are from Australia, right? Been there once myself many years ago, wonderful country and very nice, open-minded people ☺. I have an old classmate living in Sydney and a cousin in Mt. Isa.
my sister is in Sydney but it’s too big and busy for me, Mt Isa is the opposite 🙂
