Winter Has Arrived
This means the frost bites pretty hard, all the flowers, bushes and trees have finally gone into hibernation. The last leaves have not fallen off yet, but it´s just a matter of time.
We have also fallen into a state of hibernation here at home. The biggest task at the moment, is to get the children out of bed and drive them to school in time. The rest of the day goes slowly with cleaning, cooking and just looking for jobs. Outside there is absolutely nothing to do, The phones do not ring every day, mne can be quiet for days unless I call someone myself.
Slowly we sink into the nothingness, where you lose contact to the surrounding world, you are forgotten by those who are in their busy lives. I´ve been there myself, simply forgetting people you do not see regularly.
I´m quite used to it by now, but to my husband it´s still a new everyday he has to get adjusted to. And it takes time… Anyway, being active always helps on dark moods and maybe nothingness gets a grip of us but not a meaningless life!
So today I pushed him to rewire the WiFi router. The job – which included drilling holes in wall and two shelves – only took an hour with mutual help. Now we have full WiFi all over the house and the door to the office can be closed, as the wires are through the wall now.
I have finally managed to get rid of most of the clutter from the office. It´s a nice feeling and puts me into a state of tranquility. The last few things are the boy´s old school books and childrens books, which will go to the attic. Decluttering is also hanging up pictures, which have been hidden behind other stuff for years.
My mother in law passed away 1 1/2 years ago. We inherited a large grandfather clock, some pictures and an old spinning wheel (for making wool yarn). Really nice things, but when you already have a house fully decorated you simply need to get rid of something else. Old papers, binders, vases, candle holders, toys, note books, which are not used anyway or with out of date notes in. Some stuff goes to the recycling station, some goes to the local Red Cross shop.
Song Of The Day
Must definitely be Digital Love from Daft Punk. A song I used to hear every morning biking to work. A good way to get started in the day.
